Abstract

Pharmacy services at community health centers are an important aspect of the health care system because they are directly related to patient needs for medicines. Good quality pharmacy services are expected to increase patient satisfaction as an indicator of health care quality. This study aims to determine the relationship between pharmacy services and patient satisfaction at the Polongbangkeng Utara Community Health Center, Polut District, Takalar Regency. This study uses a quantitative method with a cross-sectional design. The study population was all patients who took medicines at the Polongbangkeng Utara Community Health Center pharmacy, with a sample of 98 respondents taken using a purposive sampling technique. The research method used is a quantitative study with a Cross Sectional Study approach to see the relationship between the independent variable (free variable) and the dependent variable (bound variable) using the chi-square statistical test with a confidence level of 95% and a significance level of (α) = 0.05. The results of the study showed that service quality consisted of tangible dimensions (p=0.04), reliability (p=0.04), assurance (p=0.02), responsiveness (p=0.02), and empathy with patient satisfaction (p=0.01). It was concluded that service quality based on the dimensions of tangible, reliability, assurance, responsiveness, and empathy was highly related to patient satisfaction. It is recommended that community health centers improve service quality based on these five dimensions in order to increase satisfaction.
